THE CURRENT
This dance and music performance unfolds inside an immersive spatial installation by visual artist Boris Acket. Rather than a traditional theatre setting, the audience enters a shifting landscape of corridors, platforms and small spaces where performers, musicians and spectators share the same environment.
On tour October ’26 till February ’27.

Guy Weizman & Roni Haver
Award winning Guy Weizman and Roni Haver have danced with companies including Batsheva Ensemble (Tel Aviv), Ultima Vez (Brussels), L’anònima Imperial (Barcelona) and finally moved to Groningen (The Netherlands) to work with choreographer Itzik Galili in 1998.
In 2002 Club Guy & Roni was founded in Groningen, and has since been touring extensively across the Netherlands and abroad with their artistic integrity and trajectory built upon the belief that the complexity of the 21st century world can no longer be described in a single language or art discipline. In 2021 Club Guy and Roni was appointed the status of a national dance company by the Dutch Ministry of Culture, making it one of the 5 largest dance companies in the Netherlands.
Club Guy & Roni’s The Human Odyssey is an artistic trajectory through continuous co-creations with dance companies around the world attempting to trace and capture human existential pillars, enriching the discussion between cultures resulting in innovative artistic exchange and dialogue. These co-creations are artistically and culturally exciting, and the result is urgent, provoking and unique.
Club Guy & Roni’s ‘Club Invites’ is a yearly returning black box creation, where young makers create a double bill dance performance which tours around the country.
Throughout the years Guy and Roni have choreographers in residence in Staatstheater Oldenburg (Germany) and Tanz Mainz (Germany) as well as as well as guest directors and choreographers for companies including Staatstheater Braunschweig (Germany), Ballet du Nord(France), Carte Blanche (Norway), The Theatre Ballet Moscow (Russia) , Gothenburg Ballet (Sweden) ao.
Since 2017 Guy Weizman has also been the artistic director of the Groningen based theatercompany NITE:National Interdisciplinary Theater Ensemble. NITE is one of the biggest theater companies in the Netherlands. The artistic team runs both Club Guy & Roni + NITE simultaneously, forming the biggest interdisciplinary performing arts home in the Netherlands.
In all performances newly composed music is brought live to the stage performed by musicians of the ensembles of HiiiT (percussion group The Hague) and Het Muziek (formerly known as Asko|SchonbergEnsemble). Different from the other national theater companies in the Netherlands, NITE creates new repertoire: Texts are newly written and created in the interdisciplinary spectrum creating various world premieres a year.
NITE + Club Guy & Roni continuously collaborate along the interdisciplinary spectrum, working with artists including fashion house Maison the Faux, Chilean director Manuela Infante, Norwegian Rebekka Nilsson, collective Lastesis (Chile), MusicalMakers, directors Jan-Christope Gockel and Falk Richter(Münchner Kammerspiele), Eline Arbo (ITA ), the Koninklijke Vlaamse Schouwburg (Royal Flemish Theatre, Brussels), Schauspielhaus Hannover(Germany) and Thalia Theater Hamburg (Germany).
During the pandemic NITE + Club Guy & Roni opened the NITE HOTEL a virtual theatre platform housing custom made, collaborative performances and exchanges between artists and audiences. We explored cross-platform performances, delivering art at people’s doorstep and meeting them online, and hosted a 24-hour art carrousel with over 200 artists’ and their work with a 30.000+ audience.
“The result is fearlessly imaginative theatre that is large-scale in vision and experimental in form, filled with exciting risks, challenging esotericism and some thrilling effects” – ⭐⭐⭐⭐ The Guardian
