For the Club Guy & Roni performance Bad Nature, choreographers and theater makers Ada Daniele and Shara Maaskant are creating the participatory program Bab Ad-daar: Bad Nature.

Bab Ad-Daar: Bad Nature explores how growing up in a difficult environment—one filled with neglect, violence, or emotional suppression—can shape us in ways that are reactive, defensive, or even harmful. This doesn’t mean we are “bad” at the core, but that we’ve adapted in order to survive.
To cope, we often learn to hide parts of ourselves or become someone we’re not, trying to fit into people or systems that seem to offer approval or acceptance, hoping the mask will be enough to feel connection.

Bab ad-Daar is a group of newcomers who share their love of dance, music, and theatre at Club Guy & Roni and NITE in Groningen. Together, they organize activities and open theatre doors across the Netherlands. Will you join us?
