At the Machinefabriek, people perform, dance and watch. NITE and Club Guy & Roni, the makers we invite, and you. It only works when everyone is really there. So, a few agreements.
Come as you are.
Open, curious, with or without an opinion. You don’t need to understand everything to feel something.
React.
Laugh, gasp, sigh, applaud. On stage, they can feel an audience that talks back.
What you see here belongs in your head and your heart. Not on a server.
Hidden recording devices, including smart glasses with cameras, are not allowed. You may not film or photograph visitors or staff without their permission. Medical and assistive devices are, of course, welcome. Let us know in advance which device you’re bringing via info@nite.nl, so we can take it into account.
During the show: phone away.
The performers can see a single screen glowing in the dark just as well as you can. Before and after the show, photos are welcome. Tag the makers, and us: @nite.ensemble / @club.guy.and.roni
Bring your drink into the theatre.
That’s fine at performances with tiered seating. No tiered seating? Then your glass will wait for you in De Kunstkantine.
Running late? We’ll find the right moment together.
A performance doesn’t wait, but our front-of-house staff will look for a moment when you can still come in. For some performances that’s soon, for others later, and sometimes not at all.
Everyone is welcome. Racism, sexism and other behaviour that makes people smaller are not.
If that’s you, this isn’t your place.
If something crosses a line, we’ve got your back.
Talk to any of our staff. We’ll take you seriously and find a quiet place to talk.
Our staff know the way, even when things go wrong.
Follow their instructions, for your own safety and that of the people around you.
Too drunk, high or aggressive? Then your night here is over.
