Kedves’ work as a performer, maker, writer and actor is characterized by a search for the right to exist and the authentic self on stage. In recent years, his work has focused on deconstructions of (theatrical) form as a path to de- and reconstruction of identity. His work tries to question himself: ‘Why is that person standing there in that dark space?’ ‘Does this theatrical context remove his credibility?’ And ‘why does he want to be looked at?’
