We are thrilled to invite you to an exclusive dance workshop led by Aidan Carberry and Jordan Johnson, founders of the renowned JA Collective (USA). Hosted by Club Guy & Roni in collaboration with PORTAL, this workshop offers a unique opporunity for dancers to get to know Club Guy & Roni, one of the leading dance companies in the Netherlands, and their junior company the Poetic Disasters Club.

Founded by Aidan Carberry and Jordan Johnson, JA Collective is known for its emotionally charged, physically intense performances that defy traditional dance conventions. The group’s work has garnered international recognition, particularly through collaborations with artists like Frank Ocean and half·alive. In 2024 JA Collective won the Club Guy & Roni partner award during RIDCC.

PDC is Club Guy & Roni’s youth company, celebrated for pushing the boundaries of contemporary dance. It serves as a platform for emerging performers to explore bold narratives and themes through a blend of movement and multimedia, fostering the next generation of groundbreaking choreographers.

This workshop will give you a glimpse into the creative process behind PDC’s upcoming season. Auditions for the full PDC program will follow later in the season, in which we will be seeking dancers from a variety of backgrounds (hip-hop, contemporary, ballet, and more).
